Amit is a seasoned leader with over two decades of experience implementing initiatives that have driven business growth across multiple geographies and increased shareholders. He is widely recognized for his strategic thinking, operational focus, technical knowledge and passion for people. Given his repository of knowledge on cutting-edge technology and cybersecurity, Amit has frequently been invited to be part of speaker panels at industry forums.
Before co-founding SecurityGen with three other global telecom security industry veterans, Amit was the Chief Executive Officer for Positive Technologies. Under his leadership, Positive Technologies has become one of the world's leading providers of telecom security solutions that enable continuous visibility and protection to network owners.
Prior to joining Positive Technologies, Amit was Global Sales Director for F-Secure, a cyber-security organization that grew exponentially during his four years tenure. Before that, as Country Manager - India and SAARC for Trend Micro, he significantly improved the organizations growth trajectory through market leadership in brand, customer satisfaction, and loyalty. Amit has also been associated with Dell Computers where he was instrumental in executing effective growth strategies and bolstering profits for the company’s portfolio of products.
Amit holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master's in business administration from the Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, India. He has also completed a General Management Program at the National University of Singapore.
Co-Founder & CTO
Dmitry Kurbatov, the CTO and Co-Founder, is a world-renowned telecom security expert with over 15 years of experience in researching 5G, LTE network, SDN/NFV, and IoT.
A telecom security veteran with a sharp focus on a research-based approach - Dmitry, along with his R&D team, have led several innovative global telecom security deployments. He has spearheaded the development of an automated security analysis system and telecom security research, which includes identifying vulnerabilities in network equipment, errors in data transfer, network design, protection of signalling protocols (SS7, Diameter, GTP), and IoT security.
Prior to establishing SecurityGen, Dmitry was the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Positive Technologies. He was responsible for developing and implementing the security strategy for mobile communications, 5G technology and infrastructures (industrial and enterprise).
Prior to joining Positive Technologies in 2010 as an information security expert, Dmitry worked as a network engineer for several system integrators. His passion for bringing together processes and technology to simplify and improve the experience for our clients and employees.
Dmitry graduated from Moscow Technological University (MIREA) with a degree in information security of telecommunications systems.
Co-Founder
Massimo the Co-Founder of SecurityGen has effectively combined his deep understanding of market dynamics with innate development expertise and operational rigour to create high growth businesses.
Before co-founding SecurityGen with three global telecom security leaders, Massimo was Vice President, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) for Positive Technologies. Over the years he had played a critical role in shaping product strategy for the company's telecommunications security portfolio, seeking new business opportunities and expanding the company’s partner and customer portfolio in the region. Before taking on this assignment, Massimo served as Managing Director for Italy and Spain and has effectively led teams in the ongoing evolution of digital technology.
Massimo has held several leadership positions across MRV Communications, Allied Telesis and Azlan, responsible for driving strategy and growth.
Massimo holds a bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics and has studied electronics and computer sciences.
Co-Founder
Paolo has over 20 years of experience and multi-domain knowledge about network architectures, security assessments and implementation of complex-heterogeneous infrastructures (implementation & maintenance).
Before co-founding SecurityGen, he was Managing Director, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Positive Technologies. Paolo joined Positive Technologies in 2012 as Technical Account Manager and has subsequently held numerous leadership positions within the organization. A renowned expert in his field, Paolo has actively led business forums focused on identifying, developing and implementing cyber-security solutions for the telecommunications industry.
Before joining Positive Technologies, Paolo worked in the Industrial‐CS security space and has led the delivery of one of the most extensive European private network, located in Italy, based on DWDM technology - a project that lasted three years and covered over 14.000km of F.O
Paolo holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Telecommunications, a Master's degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from Sapienza Università di Roma, and a SCCISP Certification (Smart Cities & Critical Infrastructure Security Professional) from the IoT Security Institute in Italy.
CFO
A UK Chartered Accountant with 23 years of experience managing businesses from startups to multinational companies, including Citibank, Kellogg's and Hoover. Before joining SecurityGen, he has been the Finance Director of an international group of companies providing FX and payment services to corporate clients worldwide. He has also been working in practice as a consultant, successfully advising UK startups and SMEs to develop and grow their business.
At SecurityGen his responsibilities span from managing all financial and accounting activities to guiding the managing team in forging SecurityGen strategic direction.
Francesco holds a degree in Business from Bocconi University, Milan, an MBA from Bayes Business School, London and an Investment Advice Diploma from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Francesco is a Member in Practice of the Chartered institute of Management Accountants.
Vice President, Americas
Giovani has over 25 years of experience in IT, cybersecurity, satellite, broadcast, pay-TV, and telecommunications industries. Before joining SecurityGen, Giovani held several senior-level positions, including Global CEO at CAURI LTD, President Latam at HansenCX, CEO for Dapx Brazil and Country Manager Latam for Irdeto. In his earlier roles with several leading firms, he was responsible for expanding sales and marketing in Emerging Regions through new customer acquisitions and organic growth
Giovani holds an MBA in Management from FGV Brazil, an Executive Degree in Digital Marketing and Social Media Analytics from MIT and Business and Marketing from Kellogg Northwestern University.
Vice President, Global Sales
Kar Nyan is the Global Sales for SecurityGen responsible for growing and managing the Asia Pacific businesses. He is motivated to expand the company's presence and establish long-term relationships with regional customers and partners.
He is passionate and experienced in Telecommunications, with over 20 years of experience. He started his career as a planning engineer in one of Malaysia's Mobile Operators; Kar Nyan subsequently took on different technical, sales and leadership roles in Telecom Network Equipment and Telecom Software providers before joining SecurityGen.
An experienced leader, Kar Nyan profoundly believes in and practices the principle - of talking to customers and ensuring the customer's needs and interests are understood and addressed. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Warwick.
Head of R&D
Artem has 16 years of experience in Telecom Security software development. Over the years, Artem has grown from a developer to a development team lead role. He is currently the Head of R&D at SecurityGen. And in this role, he is responsible for the development of telecom security products by using modern agile methodologies. Artem coordinates the interaction between international development departments, commercial departments, and experts.
He holds a Master's degree in microelectronics and microwave technologies.
Head of Delivery & Operations
Milan heads the delivery function at SecurityGen. In this role, he is responsible for setting strategic direction for every project delivery, defining and implementing processes, and managing the team across a broad portfolio of expertise.
In his earlier role as part of the Presales team of a global cybersecurity firm, Positive Technologies, he supported the sales cycle, created project-related documents, and led technical discussions.
Before this, as a Technical Team Leader, Milan was responsible for engineering activities, supporting deployment, and handling active support and maintenance. This role entailed working closely with market development, regions, presales, other functions, and third-party vendors.

Head of Presales
Gustavo is a Cybersecurity Expert with 20 years of experience in the Telecom Business. He has built an end-to-end industry vision, from startup MNOs to challenging engineering roles on vendors such as Alcatel and LogicaCMG. From provisioning to billing, he has worked on Packet Core, Subscriber Databases, OSS, BSS, Value Added Services, IP Backbone and Security layers.
Over the last ten years, he has been working on improving the security and visibility for Telecom assets.
Head of Legal
With over 21 years of deep legal experience, Kristina is the legal head of SecurityGen. Her role encompasses full legal support for the company's projects, which includes advising on various legal and compliance matters across the company and its affiliates, legal negotiations, conducting legal research, contractual work, preparation of legal documents for company's business activity.
Kristina is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional (IAPP CIPP/E) and she is in charge of performing data privacy regulatory compliance. This data privacy track covers developing and managing a global program to ensure compliance with data privacy requirements and integrate privacy practices into the company's business processes. Kristina holds a Graduation in Law.
CMO
Sonali is a technology marketing leader with over 16 years of experience - strategizing and executing focused marketing programs to drive business growth and improve the overall brand and customer experience. As the CMO at SecurityGen, she leads the global brand portfolio, driving and enhancing brand awareness and industry validations and devising the GTM strategy aligned to sales functions and revenue growth.
Her well-rounded background in managing high-performance marketing functions of established global enterprise tech leaders and new-age tech start-ups enables her to simultaneously think and deliver scale and agile tactics. In her earlier roles, she led marketing functions at international technology product firms and cybersecurity start-ups. With these in-depth experiences, she understands and is well acquainted with the IT ecosystem and its requirements.
During this time, Sonali has evolved into a marketing communications specialist with hands-on experience in designing and executing marketing & communications strategies aligned to strategic brand launches and growth, as well as brand acquisitions and divestitures.
Sonali holds a Master's in Business Administration specializing in Marketing Communications and a Graduation in Commerce and Economics from Mumbai University (India).
Sales Director for the Latam & Caribbean
Rene Sandoval is a seasoned Senior Telecommunications and Digital Transformation leader with over 15 years of experience in leveraging advanced technologies such as mobile networks, AI, IoT, data analytics, and cybersecurity to drive business success. Based in Mexico City, Rene has a proven track record in enhancing operational efficiencies and revenue growth for major industry players like Ericsson, Amdocs, and Nokia.
Currently serving as the Sales Director for the Latam & Caribbean region, he is responsible for expanding SecurityGen's footprint by partnering with MNOs and businesses across this diverse geography and cultivating long-term engagements. With expertise in wireless and fixed networks, cloud solutions, and strategic business development, Rene has successfully led IT-OT convergence initiatives, optimized performance through hardware retrofitting, and fostered strategic partnerships and market developments. He holds a Master's in Electronics and Telecommunications from ITESM and various certifications, including PMP and Scrum Master.
Managing Director, Middle East & Africa
Imad Ayad is an experienced sales and business development professional with vast experience leading teams to exceed revenue goals in dynamic environments. With over 20 years of rich techno-functional experience across leading telecom and tech firms, he has developed expertise across mobile devices, management & new product development for telecom industry.
With a proven ability to lead the sales organization while building trustful relationships with senior customers, including C-Level executives, Imad is the Managing Director of Middle East & Africa SecurityGen. Imad will spearhead the accelerated growth charter across the MEA region in this role by forging key partnerships and strengthening solid relationships with leading telcos and enterprises.
Before joining the SecurityGen team, Imad held key leadership roles with Nokia, Alfa Telecommunications, Enghouse Networks and Tranglo. And during this time, he has developed strong Telecom application expertise focused on VAS and SMS security along with excellent leadership skills.
Imad holds a Diploma in Engineering from Saint Joseph University (ESIB). Beirut, Lebanon.
